Pius X Council 3498 was initiated into our Order on March 23, 1952, under the guidance of charter District Deputy Harry W. Clody. When this council first met they held their meetings at the old school Kindergarten building. Since then, the council has stabilized at between 180 to 220 members. The council now has solid and proven activities in each of the five program areas. Social and religious activities are varied and change according to the response of the members. Our faith in Jesus, our Church, and in our community keep this council steadfast and strong. We continue our work in the same tradition and conviction of that in our founder, Fr. Michael J. McGivney. We will continue to grow and support the overall mission of the Church and that of the Supreme Council.
You've got questions. We know. Like, who are the Knights of Columbus, and what do they do? Here is a list of questions frequently asked by prospective members. If you have other questions that are not listed here, and would like more information, please see our Grand Knight Rob Stollar.
We are a faith-based family organization. The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men's fraternal benefit society, formed to render financial aid to members and service to the community and their families. Imagine being part of an organization that fills your heart and your mind with the joy of giving to others and the feeling that comes with making a difference.
As a Knight, you can choose the projects with which you wish to be involved in your own community. What is more, the Order is dedicated to family life and the many benefits it offers. Our Council sponsors many family and youth oriented activities. You are requested to commit as much time as you can with these activities and to include the entire family. This is your Council. By helping out, you help make it great and fun for all.
